Sustainability
Sustainability is an integral part of our strategic vision: every day, we are committed to contributing to a concrete, responsible, and measurable energy transition. Inspired by ESG principles – Environmental, Social, and Governance – we combine technological innovation with environmental protection, promote an inclusive work environment, and adopt governance practices based on ethics, transparency, and legality. Our actions are guided by the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which requires companies to transparently report their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, as well as by the international standards set by the World Economic Forum (WEF). This approach enables us to ensure consistency, accountability, and long-term value creation. In doing so, we contribute to generating a positive impact on local communities, for people and future generations, by integrating sustainability into every aspect of our business.
Environmental
At Altenia, environmental sustainability is a core element of our strategic decision-making. We minimize environmental impact at every stage of our operations by investing in green technologies and promoting efficient resource use. Through a range of initiatives, we state our commitment to transparent and verifiable sustainability models aligned with international standards.
Certifications
We adopt a scientific and measurable approach to environmental management, based on compliance with national and international regulations and adherence to the most advanced standards, as demonstrated by our ISO 14001 certification. We continuously monitor our carbon footprint using recognized tools such as Ecovadis and Open-es, with the goal of systematically reducing CO₂ emissions and improving efficiency across the entire value chain.
Projects
In 2024, Altenia took part in the data collection initiative promoted by the Terna Group as part of the Science Based Targets for Nature (SBTN) project—an international effort that helps companies set measurable goals to reduce their impact on natural ecosystems and contribute concretely to protecting the planet. This activity laid the groundwork for applying Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), an analysis that evaluates environmental impact across the entire life cycle of processes and products, from production to disposal.

Social
We believe that sustainability comes first and foremost through people. This is why we promote a work environment based on listening, respect, fairness and inclusion. Our social commitment is manifested in concrete actions in favor of the valorization of human resources, safety at work and the promotion of diversity.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We actively promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) policies, in alignment with the Terna Group’s corporate guidelines. Our commitment is to fostering a workplace where every individual—regardless of gender, age, ability, or personal background—can fully realize their potential within an equitable and inclusive environment.
