Scope
Altenia has carried out a revamping intervention on a rooftop photovoltaic system installed in Bologna, at the Bentivoglio logistics hub. The intervention presented some challenges, since it is an “architectural integration” system, it was necessary to study and design an ad hoc solution to adapt the new components, while maintaining the aesthetic and functional requirements imposed by architectural integration.
Activity
As part of the revamping intervention, which involved the entire roof of the logistics plant, all the DC parts of the plant were renewed and replaced.
The activities concerned:
- Electrical and mechanical design, in particular, a tailor-made solution was studied to adapt the existing structure to the new, much larger and more performing modules.
- Removal and disposal of existing components (modules, cables and old support structures) and masonry and layout adjustment of support structures.
- Installation of new high-efficiency PV modules, removal and rewiring of the entire DC part
- Final Testing & Commissioning in accordance with the Client’s guidelines.
Results
Thanks to the revamping activities, the customer was guaranteed a renewed, high-performance system that complies with the most modern standards.
