Scope
STE Energy, a subsidiary of Altenia, has built the HV substations of Campos del Sol and Guanchoi, an integral part of two of Chile’s largest solar projects, with a total installed capacity of 780 MW. The intervention aimed to ensure the connection and integration of the energy produced by photovoltaic parks to the national electricity system, supporting the sustainable development of renewable energy in the country.
Activity
- Design and construction of high-voltage substations;
- Supply and installation of the main equipment;
- Implementation of control and protection systems;
- Testing and commissioning.
Results
The substations were built on schedule, with technical solutions that guarantee their reliability and full compliance with the design specifications. The work has allowed the full operation of two of the largest solar plants in Chile, confirming STE Energy’s expertise in the construction of high-voltage infrastructures on an international scale.
